Angela Carter’s classic tale was adapted by Burn the Curtain and Shiona Morton to be a promenade theatre adventure for runners and walkers. It also includes elements of the author’s stories ‘Wolf-Alice’, ‘Peter and the Wolf ‘ and ‘The Werewolf’.
Over four years 2014-17 audiences from Devon to Derbyshire, Longleat to Liverpool joined Burn the Curtain in the theatrical re-telling of this dark and mysterious modern classic.
The Show returned in 2023 to Lee in North Devon, providing one of the most challenging 5k running courses yet!

Company of Wolves toured to Riverside Valley Park, Exeter, Sharpham Estate, Totnes, Brighton Festival, Stanmer Park, Salisbury International Arts Festival, Longleat, Forestry Commission England, Haldon Forest, Devon, Blackwood Miner’s Institute at Cwmcarn Forestry, South Wales, Durlston Country Park, Dorset with Activate Performing Arts Forestry Commission England sites Delamere Forest, Cheshire, Bedgebury Pinetum, Kent, as part of Forest Art Works.
