Keep tilting at those windmills everybody.

Brighton with a new bike.

The Brighton Festival pedals towards us and the shows are fully booked. If you happen to be wandering around the South Downs, keep your eyes out for some slightly unusual bikes…

Which leads us to a debut tricycle for this year. Once again created by the very talented Ruth Webb, here is a sneak preview picture which was tweeted by The Eden Project on Monday:

It joins the other feathered bikes like Camilla Parker-Rolls the Flamingo, Akkeron the Black Swan. Don’t worry Quixote and Sancho, we can’t forget Rosinanté and Dapple.

Soon we will be revealing more dates and details of other performances this summer.

See you soon

Guardian Travel – Saturday 21st July

If you didn’t read the Guardian Travel section on Saturday, there was a nice report about Don Quixote by Bicycle by Susanna Rustin:

“Mount your steeds!” came the command. We obeyed, and a fleet of 35 bicycles, each with a cardboard horse’s face tied to the handlebars, set off.”
